How We Know Each Other
Roy met Al before Covid when he coached Roy’s son’s football team. His positive leadership stood out immediately, and during lockdown he kept the boys motivated with running challenges—leading by example with a marathon of his own. What started on the sidelines grew into a strong friendship.
Why We Decided to Do It
Al thrives on extreme challenges. When Roy half-joked about doing LEJOG, Al turned it into a real plan instantly — with one condition from Roy:
they do it for a great cause.
And that’s how it started.
